Stand up and Be Counted for the Transformation of Kenya
We use a pragmatic model called Discipleship and Economic Empowerment Program (DEEP) that prepares believers to fulfil the great commission in their homes, businesses, and workplaces. This model is summarized by the following three E’s.
Experience . Equip . Economic Empowerment
We Believe in Change
Who We Are
Community Transformation Centre (CTC) is a faith-based NGO registered in Kenya in March 2021. It was later incorporated as Global CTC, Inc. in the USA in November 2022, obtaining 501(c)3 status.
CTC Africa serves some of the hardest to reach communities in places prone to conflict, extreme hunger, climate change, and flooding. Our focus is on women, children, and the youth. We work in partnership with churches as basic structures for community sustainability of our programs. We know that real progress comes not just from reacting to disasters, but by equipping and empowering the people to transform their own lives. We achieve this by working with communities to build their resilience and ensure their transformation is sustainable.

Our Model: How We Do It
1. EXPERIENCE
Using this model, believers learn and EXPERIENCE a new life in God by finding their place in God’s story. They use the same model to disciple their members and various groups in the community.
2. EQUIP
We EQUIP the pastors and leaders to have a culture of discipleship that supports members to live God’s story. We conduct short-term courses that are interactive, practical, and experiential.
3. ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT
The model promotes the economic empowerment of believers, enabling them to generate income, build assets, and support their churches and communities, while adopting a holistic ministry approach that addresses their mental, spiritual, emotional, economic, and cultural needs. By empowering pastors and community members with new rhythms and activities, it fosters not only financial growth but also a renewed story of hope and a brighter future.
Our History
How it all started
The organization was founded in 2020 by a Kenyan Pastor,
Dr. Richard Mutura after a tour of Kakuma Refugee camp in Northern arid lands of Kenya. The visit followed an invitation by one of his students at Pan Africa Christian University who was a refugee from South Sudan. He was curious to know how life was in the camps, and he drove for two days to Kakuma
Our Core Values are:
Our Vision
Translating concern into action!
Our Mission
Our mission is to mobilize all Kenyans to stand up and be counted for the transformation of Kenya. We challenge each to take responsibility for their actions and not just point fingers or spectate when things are going wrong.
